Visit Quince Honey Farm, an award-winning working honey farm based in South Molton, offering a full day out for the whole family to enjoy.

Visit our Honey Factory and learn all about how bees make honey, enjoy a honey tasting session and roll your own beeswax candle. There are viewing windows into the honey production areas and you can join a tour to get a close-up look at how honey is extracted from the hive and then bottled in jars ready for sale in the shop.

The Bee Shed is where you will find interactive hives, giving you the chance to see millions of bees at work from behind glass and in complete safety! Our interactive hives open up at the push of a button, giving you an even closer look! The popular Beekeeping Demos are also found here, where our team open a beehive from behind protective glass and explain all that you can see – will you find the queen bee?!

Let the young and the young at heart buzz around The Play Hive where you’ll find the ever-popular indoor soft play, including dedicated spaces for under 2s, outdoor play area, lake and picnic area – a fantastic space for children and families to enjoy together. Here you will also find a café serving light bites and refreshments.

The centre piece for the attraction is the beautifully landscaped Nectar Gardens that can be explored and enjoyed all year round. Wander through the hexagonal plots, each with a different theme, all plants being bee and pollinator friendly.

While you’re outside make sure you take a stroll along the Meadow Trail and then up to the fruit orchard via the Pollinator Path to see our wild-flower meadows.

When you need a break, head back to the main building where you’ll find the award-winning Nectary Restaurant serving up delicious home-made meals, drinks and special honey cream teas. The perfect place to relax with a cuppa while enjoying views out to the gardens and woodland. And don’t forget to browse the Farm Shop selling a range of seasonal honeys, beeswax candles, skincare and gifts.

I can’t believe how dog friendly it is. Big thank you. Time just flew by.

A great guy called Mark started with candle making at 11am, followed by a 12noon tour and talk, then a 1pm animal handling which we unfortunately missed and topped at 2pm by opening a hive and finding the queen. He is a credit to the farm, so enthusiastic and informative. He kept children and adults engaged and interested. I wish I could have stayed for the 3pm trial bee keeper. For a little extra charge you can get kitted out to handle the bee’s your self. We’ll have to return in the spring.
Thank you.

Brilliant morning spent at quince honey farm.
The kids rolled candles, went on a guided tour, held a giant snail and played on the soft play.
Kept my four children aged from 18 months to 13 years occupied and entertained which is no mean feat!
The tour guide was friendly, informative and funny.
Many thanks

We came here in May. After sitting down in our accommodation and looking thorough all the leaflets about the different accommodation in Devon, I decided I really wanted to go here! There are only so many kids adventure parks and zoos you can go to right? So we chose this as our wildcard day out, not quite sure how it would pan out with the kids. Well, I have to say the kids loved it! Plenty to do and the kids were fascinated by the bee hives. They loved the beekeeper demonstration and enjoyed the honest tasting. We didn’t even need to bribe them with the soft play area they were enjoying it that much. Great little place, and be kids voted it their favourite!
