Powderham Castle has opened its doors once more to visitors, but this year is a very special year as we celebrate 50 years of welcoming visitors to the Castle. It really is a wonderful place to take the family or visiting friends to give them a taste of Devon. Fascinating guided tours inside the magnificent 600 year old castle take place at regular intervals throughout the day. Outside you will find extensive grounds to explore, treasure trails to follow and friendly animals to meet. The popular Deer Park Safari (weather and ground conditions permitting) offers a closer look at the deer park wildlife and the Tea Rooms is the ideal spot to enjoy a delicious cream tea, light snack or homemade meal. On your way home stop off at the Country Store for gifts, plants and local produce.
