Actors needed at Crealy August 2009

HallowScream UK, the South West’s only live horror fright nights is looking for Scare Actors to take part in this year’s events on Thursday 29th, Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 2009, between 7pm and midnight at Devon’s Crealy Adventure Park, just outside Exeter.

Zombies, horror clowns and rampaging madmen are amongst the characters appearing at HallowScream this year. All actors will be trained by some of the countries most influential live scare show producers, who have vast experience in both directing and acting in the horror genre. HallowScream is working with SweetDream Productions this year in developing the scare zones at the event including training the actors taking part. SweetDreams Productions have worked at the UK’s largest Halloween events including Room 13, Field of 1000 Screams and Scare Room at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park’s Fright Night – Hellgate, Warwick Castle, The London Tombs and Xscape in Milton Keynes.

HallowScream UK at Devon’s Crealy combines live horror experiences, theme park rides in the dark, an indoor entertainment complex and Halloween cocktail bars aswell as DJ’s and live bands from some of the South West’s most renowned events.

Jenni Taffs, PR and Marketing Manager for Devon’s Crealy and HallowScream UK said, “We are looking for a wide range of people, of all ages, from 18 years old to seniors. We need volunteers who want to develop their acting experience and we also need trained actors who may have previous experience in this field. I am also interested to hear from people involved in war or fantasy role play clubs as this could be great for them to develop their horror role play skills!”

Taking place at Devon’s Crealy, HallowScream UK is billed to be the ultimate fright night event, with horror characters and terrifying walkthroughs. The event combines theatre with theme park attractions, special effects, lighting and theming to provide fright nights, which organisers say will completely immerse people in Halloween horror. The event includes five scare zones, The Slaughterhouse, Twilight Zone, The Twisted Funhouse, Carousel of Terror and The Haunting, all designed to frighten, shock and surprise.

HallowScream will also have renowned DJs Ben and Lex and live bands, including Super Tennis, The Ruby Tuesdays, We The Machines, Sunshine Getaway and The XCerts.

Crealy are looking for scare actors to take part in this event, they may be performing in a variety of locations, including the multiple scare zones.

Actors apply to scareme@hallowscream.co.uk and rehearsals taking place in August.
