Hallowscream UK search for SW Horror Actors at Crealy Oct 09

Devon's most unusual job hunt continues this month as HallowScream UK carries on the search for actors for the 3 night event in October.

HallowScream UK takes place on 29th, 30th and 31st October at Devon's Crealy when the park is transformed into a live horror event with scare zones, walkthroughs, themed rides, indoor entertainments, Halloween cocktail bars, live bands and DJs.

Organisers of the event, which is in its second year, are searching for actors, both experienced and voluntary, to join the cast of horror characters inhabiting this year's scare zones.

The scare zones at this year's HallowScream have been announced as The Slaughterhouse, The Twisted Funhouse, The Twilight Zone and The Haunting. Although some of the names are the same as last year, event organisers promise entirely new scares with different characters, scenes and walkthroughs for people to brave.

Jenni Taffs, Press Relations for HallowScream said, "This year will be more intense than last year. We went easy on people last year as we wanted to break them in gently! HallowScream this year will be terrifying and we need the right actors to bring it to life! We are looking for all ages and all types of actors, male or female, experienced or new to acting. We have a variety of roles. Many of the actors who performed last year are coming back because they had such a good time last year. It is hard work but I am sure getting a good scream out of your audience makes for great job satisfaction!

HallowScream actors will take part in a training session by Sweet Dreams Productions who have acted and produced many scare attractions including those at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle and the London Tombs.

Jenni Taffs continues, "There is no Halloween without HallowScream, even for those who just want the treats but not the tricks! This Halloween, we've got loads going on with frighteningly good Halloween cocktails, some of the region's best DJs including Ben and Lex, plus six bands playing across the three nights! Of course, there's also the spooked up log flume, pirate ship and coaster to ride, plus the indoor entertainment areas in the Adventure Zone and Lost World."

HallowScream attracted almost 3000 people over the three days last year. Organisers predict tickets may sell out and advise people to buy tickets online as early as possible, where they can also save up to 35% at present.

Actors wishing to take part in HallowScream this year must email scareme@hallowscream.co.uk to register for the audtions which are taking place on Monday 21st September.
