Pumpkin Fest at Crealy October 2009

Over 40,000 pumpkins will be harvested at Crealy before the end of October, with preparations for Pumpkinfest already underway.

Halloween Half Term at Crealy spells thousands of pumpkins, the famous Crealy Witch and all your favourite rides and attractions. With a free pumpkin, for each child, lantern carving, competitions, the haunted train ride around the lake and the Crealy Witch in her Creepy Grotto, half term at Crealy is always a popular event.

Jenni Taffs, PR Manager said, “Crealy is everyone’s favourite haunt, especially during October half term when we have all sorts of fun activities for families to enjoy. We have some scares for bigger children and lots of non scary fun for little-ones. All children love carving pumpkins and we have thousands of them to choose from! Hopefully lots of people will come in fancy dress as we have some great prizes to give away.”

“There’s lots going on at Crealy leading up to Halloween with Pumpkinfest for families every day during half term and HallowScream UK from 7.30pm – 12.30am each night from 29th – 31st , which is a live horror fright night event, not suitable for children but great fun for parents!”

Crealy is offering some great value tickets with 7 days for the price of 1, online savings of £1.95 per person, plus the return of Sunday Saver tickets, saving £3 per person.

Visitors to the park can also enjoy a warming bowl of Peppered Pumpkin Soup or a slice of Pumpkin Cake.

Angela Wright, MBE, Managing Director said, “October days at Crealy mean pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins! We need help to harvest this many pumpkins and hope that children visiting enjoy lending a hand!” “Pumpkinfest is always hugely popular and of course, all the rides and attractions will be open as well so Crealy really is the perfect place to spend half term”.

Pumpkinfest at Devon’s Crealy takes place daily between 10am and 6pm from Saturday 24th October until 31st October. *one free pumpkin for every child (paying usual admission charge) **small charge applies. Ends)
