The animals are so well looked after and the keepers are so enthusiastic about the work.
It’s not too pricey or commercialised, there are not lots of plastic displays and extra charges.
The only criticism I have is there are no recycling bins which would be beneficial. I had to take mine home.
All in all I would recommend it for a good family trip which gets children outside and playing in nature as they should be.

You may even get a chance to craft something of your own in the Greenwood Centre, strike a Saxon penny or make some jewellery in the Village Forge. *
And don’t forget lunch in the Coach House Cafe where you can enjoy a hearty meal as well as ice-cream, drinks, snacks and some seriously delicious homemade cakes.
To round off the day you’ll probably want to relax while the kids burn off the last of their energy in the weather-proof Soft Play Barn.
