Visit Quince Honey Farm, an award-winning honey farm based in South Molton, offering a full day out for the whole family to enjoy.

Visit our Honey Factory and learn all about how bees make honey, enjoy a honey tasting session and roll your own beeswax candle. There are viewing windows into the honey production areas and you can join a tour to get a close-up look at how honey is extracted from the hive and then bottled in jars ready for sale in the shop.

The Bee Shed is where you will find display hives, giving you the chance to see millions of bees at work from behind glass and in complete safety! The popular Beekeeping Demos are also found here, where our team open a beehive from behind protective glass and explain all that you can see – will you find the queen bee?!

Let the young and the young at heart buzz around The Play Hive where you’ll find the ever-popular indoor soft play, including dedicated spaces for under 2s, outdoor play area, lake and picnic area – a fantastic space for children and families to enjoy together. Here you will also find a café serving light bites and refreshments.

The centre piece for the attraction is the beautifully landscaped Nectar Gardens that can be explored and enjoyed all year round. Wander through the hexagonal plots, each with a different theme, all plants being bee and pollinator friendly. Children will love completing the Buzzy Bee Bingo sheet as they go!

While you’re outside make sure you take a stroll along the Meadow Trail which features beautiful sculptures along the route, including stunning driftwood pieces by world-renowned artist James Doran-Webb. Then wander into the Kitchen Garden to see what’s growing and meet our friendly chickens!

When you need a break, head back to the main building where you’ll find the award-winning Nectary Restaurant serving up delicious home-made meals, drinks and special honey cream teas. The perfect place to relax with a cuppa while enjoying views out to the gardens and woodland. And don’t forget to browse the Shop selling a range of seasonal honeys, beeswax candles, skincare and gifts.

Fantastic experience for the whole family.
We had the most amazing time at Quince Honey Farm. We learned so much about bees and honey, we enjoyed tasting different types and made a candle from bees wax. The whole family (age 7 to 70) had a great time. Caroline gave a very informative and entertaining tour. The play areas were fabulous, there were lots of lovely picnic areas and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed feeding the chickens too. We’d all recommended a visit for something a little different to your average day out if you’re in the area.

Educational & fun all round experience 10/10.
Wow! What an absolutely brilliant place. We spent 4-5 hours here and my 4 year old son absolutely loved it. The staff were fantastic and it’s a lovely planned out day. Very educational along with practical sessions too. Honey tasting and candle making are nice little touches to the whole experience. We ended up doing everything there as well as having some lunch in their cafe which was also lovely. I would highly recommend this place 10/10 from me and my family!

A golden treasure, well worth a visit.
We have passed this location so many times that I feel embarrassed that I have never visited it before. Firstly you will never be short of a parking space. The visitors centre entrance is bright, airy and the smell of honey is wonderful as you enter. We were greeted by staff who explained the activities and pointed us in the right direction. Hats off to our tour guide Caroline, an incredibly informative presenter who engaged everyone in the audience (including our aged Bulldog). Her presentation had us entertained and truly informed about the fascinating world of bees. The gardens are deceptively big and there was plenty to see and do for young and old! All the site is wheelchair friendly and obviously dog friendly. Can’t fault this great attraction and will definitely visit again.
