The Donkey Sanctuary's award-winning event is back (virtually) this December for a fantastic festive special!
Join us LIVE on Facebook from 6pm (GMT) on 11 December as we once again bring the sanctuary into your living room.
We’ll be catching up with a few firm favourites, meeting some of the donkeys you’ve heard so much about and talking to the wonderful people who care for them.
Sadly, we can’t invite people along to enjoy our Carols by Candlelight event this year, so we’ll also be premiering a full-length virtual carol concert to get you into the Christmas spirit.
So sit back, relax and enjoy a festive evening at the sanctuary from the comfort of your sofa.
SCHEDULE*
18:00: Welcome (Live)
We’ll be joined by Farm Manager, Maxine Carter and the Main Yard herd as we welcome you to the evening’s event.
18:15: Carols by Candlelight (Premiere)
The show must go on – in a year like no other, we’re bringing our annual carol concert to your living room.
19:00: Meet the Poitou Donkeys (Live)
We’ll be heading over to Buffalo Barn to check in on the sanctuary’s gentle giants, the Poitou Donkeys, as they settle down for the evening.
20:00: Catch up with the herd (Live)
To finish off the evening, we’ll be at Shelter 1 to say hello to adoption donkeys Hannah & Cocoa. We’ll also be introducing Timmy & Tommy, who were rescued from a terrible ordeal back in 2016.
