The interactive Halloween trail invites children to explore the sanctuary in search of hidden pumpkins while discovering more about what donkeys can and cannot enjoy as treats.
Armed with a trail map, young explorers will follow clues around the sanctuary, finding pumpkins and guessing whether the featured items are a donkey-friendly treat or something they should avoid. Once they’ve completed their trail sheet, participants can take it to the Gift Shop to redeem a prize, making it a rewarding adventure for little Halloween enthusiasts.
The trail is ideal for children and families, offering a gentle, engaging activity suitable for a wide range of ages. At just £5 per trail, it’s an affordable way to enjoy some seasonal fun during the half-term period.
Visitors can make a full day of their trip, with hundreds of donkeys to meet, scenic walks across the sanctuary, daily talks, indoor exhibits and the award-winning Kitchen restaurant serving locally sourced food and refreshments.
The Donkey Sanctuary offers free admission and free parking, helping make the attraction accessible for families. The site is also designed to be welcoming and accessible, with surfaced pathways across many visitor areas and facilities available for those with additional access needs. Dogs on leads are welcome too.
