Frequently Asked Questions

Is Babbacombe Model Village dog friendly?

Well behaved dogs are allowed, with some restrictions –

Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens (90-95% of the visit is outdoors).

They cannot go into the indoor displays, (except for assistance dogs) – this includes the new mythical kingdom . Customers will have to take it in turns to visit the indoor areas whilst someone looks after the dog outside in the gardens.

They strictly cannot go into the coffee shop, except for guide/assistance dogs This is mostly due to its limited size and restricted space. We do have seating outdoors on the terrace with a few sheltered tables too. This is a no exceptions rule, so if you are planning to use the coffee shop too we advise visiting us on a drier day!

They must be kept on a short lead, stay on the pathways and you must stay with them the whole time.

You must come prepared to pick up and clean up any doggy dos!

Although this was my first visit i was not disappointed, It is one of the best Model Village’s i have been to.
It is suitable for all ages young and old, and you can interact with things if you want to.
there are place’s to sit and have a rest and there is a nice eating place which is reasonable in price, I would say this place is magical and well worth a visit.

I took my brother for his first visit to Babbacombe. Its over 50 years since I last visited here but it fulfilled all my memories of it and more. There were parts I remembered but many new parts and they are still improving it. We returned on the Thursday evening for the illuminations which were wonderful. If I get to return to Babbacombe I will certainly visit the Model Village again. Its well worth a visit whatever your age.

It had been 20 years since my last visit and i had been waiting in excitement to return for years, and I wasn’t disappoint but blown away at the size of this model village and the detail. Unlike some model villages this one has kept up to date with the smallest of modern changes. Lots of value for your money once inside as there is mini golf and a 4D cinema, Also if you have your photo taken in the gift shop before you leave you can return for free within 7 days.

If you don’t busy attractions this place offers an amazing experience on a Thursday night as it opens til 9.30pm.
