Devon’s most magnificent historic gardens with over 60 acres of beautiful gardens and soft sweeping lawns, elegant water features, fragrant English borders and formal Gardens to explore.
Take a tranquil walk and meander through the arboretum among some of the most majestic trees in the country. The magnificent Palm house has a fantastic collection of palms and tropical plants. Discover the little house of shells, the romantic Hermitage, the secret garden, the lake, streams and woodlands.
The park has plenty for children too. There’s a miniature village, a large climbing camp and acres of informal gardens to explore and play in. There’s an educational nature trail where many birds can be seen feeding and heard singing, you can even learn to identify their calls. See the bigfoot maze, mini golf and a children’s football pitch. Relax and enjoy a meal or snack at the Orangery Restaurant with it’s breathtaking views across the gardens.
We’re easy to find, just follow the brown tourist signs from Junction 30 on the M5 on to the A3052 and we’re one mile beyond Colaton Raleigh.

How much is entry to Bicton Gardens?
Adult – £16.00, Concessions (60+, disabled, carer) – £15.00, Children (2 to 16 yrs) – £12.00, Children under 2 – free. All children must be accompanied by an adult, Dogs – £1. Upgrade to our annual pass for just an extra £16.00 on top of your daily visit price for a full year of unlimited visits.
Is Bicton Gardens dog friendly?
Bicton Gardens is very dog friendly but we ask owners to keep dogs on short leads. We have a dog friendly Orangery and they can also go on our Woodland Railway. They are not allowed in the Children’s Play areas.
Does Bicton still have a Train?
Yes! The Bicton Woodland Railway (BWR) runs most days through the season and takes passengers on a leisurely 25 minute journey around the gardens. We also have a ramp for wheelchair users.
