The Milky Way Adventure Park

Add to your favourites

The Milky Way is North Devon’s biggest all-weather day out, with acres of outdoor activities and over 110,000 sq feet of indoor fun. All play areasrides and shows are in the entrance fee – and it’s fun for family groups of all ages, including preschoolers.

This winter at The Milky Way you’ll find lots of all-weather fun, plus magical festive activities over the Xmas period. During December children will love preparing for the big day in Buzzlewick’s Elf Emporium by decorating gingerbread straight from Mother Christmas’ kitchen, preparing a special letter and making all-natural reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. In addition, parents have the option (for a small additional fee – please book ahead on the Milky Way website for this) to take their children to meet the REAL Father Christmas in his enchanting Grotto, where they’ll receive an exciting gift!

From November 1-March 27 The Milky Way is open most weekends, and most weekdays during school holidays, though the park’s standalone Little Stars play centre  (designed for those aged 0-6) is open most weekdays AND weekends, even in winter.

NEW for 2019 is a brilliant interactive ride for all ages– Ziggy’s Blast Quest. Help save Planet Earth by piloting a Cyber Scooter and using your Blasteroid laser to destroy asteroids and meteors before they destroy the planet.

You’ll also love the Gravity Rider – a fast, fun and exhilarating donut slide. Ride the Cosmic Typhoon roller coaster and see glorious views from the top, view the vast Sci-Fi memorabilia collection (“From Daleks to Darth Vader!”), then take on the huge death slides in the Time Warp, North Devon’s biggest indoor play area. The Milky Way is also home to the Jumping Jupiters, one of the UK’s largest bouncing pillows, and the popular Droid Destroyer dodgems.

There’s lots for small adventurers too. The Little Stars play centre offers adventure and imaginative play for babies to pre-schoolers, and the Bouncing Balloon Room  is also a great hit with little ones.

To wind down, ride the Milky Way railway, enjoy the live shows featuring Merlin from Britain’s Got Talent and the North Devon Birds of Prey Centre – or try  golf, archery and laser shooting.

First time we have been here. Staff very friendly and lots to do for all ages. We had numerous goes on different rides with no queuing. Birds of prey centre very good. We spent 7 hours here and the children didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic location. The whole family had a ball. The staff were all brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

The milky way far exceeded our expectations! We had very interchangeable weather during our Devon holiday so finding this place was just what we needed. The variety of activities absolutely suited our 18 month old and 3.5 Yr old from the little stars soft play area to the roller coaster, train ride, maze, giant slides, toddler world, dodgems, Merlin the magician (hilarious) … It goes on… Being honest, it doesn’t look like much when you first walk in and it was very quiet as we went out of season but that worked very much in our favour! Also before we knew it was closing time and we had to drag the kids out, literally, through the laden gift shop… We received our voucher to return half price within the year and two days later we were back again! We thought we would pass the time in the morning and head to the beach in the afternoon – nope! Once again a full day at the milky-way and we did loads of stuff we hadn’t tried the time before like archery, took in the outside birds of prey show (Dave the falconer is amazing and provides a very informative and entertaining show!) and the bouncy trampolines… Hilarious for the whole family! I feel in peak times the atmosphere would be a bit better but we much preferred having the run of the place and no queues! The staff were so friendly and clearly made an effort to help at any point! Plus – toilets stayed clean all day! So happy about this! 🙂 Definitely recommend and four thumbs up from us!

This was a great day out, even for our teenagers. They really enjoyed themselves with archery, painting, roller coasting, dodgems, and lots more! The food was good too. We have to come back one day because we missed the show with the birds of prey 🙂

absolutely fantastic fun day out for all the family!! we visited on a drizzly day last week and was great as so much was under cover. our small children (3 & 18 months) loved the smaller soft play and the balloon area. Whilst us adults had fun with them in the bigger soft play area too! Nice food in the cafe, a little expensive tho. We will definitely be back whatever the weather there is so much to do!! and so much fun ☺
