Description

You’ll find fantastic fun for the family at The Milky Way – the only attraction in Devon to win TripAdvisor’s highest accolade, a Travellers’ Choice Award, in 2016, 2017, 2018 AND 2019.

If you know The Milky Way you’ll know they’re passionate about doing the right thing and doing things well, so they’ve been hard at work making the changes needed to ensure you’ll be able to enjoy a safe day out, as well as some much needed fun! You’ll be surprised just how many attractions they’re able to open safely – one of the many benefits of having SOOO much space both indoors and out, and in a beautiful rural location near the coast too! Please remember to BOOK your visit online ahead of time.

The park’s newest addition is Ziggy’s Blast Quest, a brilliant interactive ride for all ages that invites you to pilot a Cyber Scooter and use your Blasteroid laser to destroy rogue asteroids and meteors before they destroy the planet.

Visitors will also love to ride the Cosmic Typhoon coaster and Cosmic Caterpillar, bump around on the dodgems, whizz down the huge Gravity Rider donut slide, run around the maze and jump for joy on the huge outdoor bouncing pillows. To wind down, enjoy a stunning show from the residents of the North Devon Bird of Prey Centre, paint some pottery, ride the mini-train, play a game of mini-golf and visit the very popular Sci-Fi exhibit (“from Daleks to Dr Who”). Then stop for a delicious meal or snack, available to ‘takeaway’ and enjoy indoors or outside. Due to government guidance and for your safety, some indoor attractions, including all soft and adventure play areas, are not open at this time.

As well as many much-loved favourite attractions there’s lots that’s new here, including:

  • Online booking for ALL visits to maintain a safe capacity on-site
  • The Planet Play Café offering pizza, pasta and nachos with outdoor and indoor seating options
  • NEW mobile app which will offer remote food ordering and ride queueing
  • Cutting edge cleaning technology – including a long lasting anti-microbial cleaning product that keeps surfaces VIRUS FREE for up to 30 days, as well as extra hand washing stations, countless sanitiser dispensers and many other extra cleaning measures
  • Lots of additional measures to enable social distancing including reduced capacity, one-way systems, family toilets and leaving empty rows/seats on some attractions

First time we have been here. Staff very friendly and lots to do for all ages. We had numerous goes on different rides with no queuing. Birds of prey centre very good. We spent 7 hours here and the children didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic location. The whole family had a ball. The staff were all brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

The milky way far exceeded our expectations! We had very interchangeable weather during our Devon holiday so finding this place was just what we needed. The variety of activities absolutely suited our 18 month old and 3.5 Yr old from the little stars soft play area to the roller coaster, train ride, maze, giant slides, toddler world, dodgems, Merlin the magician (hilarious) … It goes on… Being honest, it doesn’t look like much when you first walk in and it was very quiet as we went out of season but that worked very much in our favour! Also before we knew it was closing time and we had to drag the kids out, literally, through the laden gift shop… We received our voucher to return half price within the year and two days later we were back again! We thought we would pass the time in the morning and head to the beach in the afternoon – nope! Once again a full day at the milky-way and we did loads of stuff we hadn’t tried the time before like archery, took in the outside birds of prey show (Dave the falconer is amazing and provides a very informative and entertaining show!) and the bouncy trampolines… Hilarious for the whole family! I feel in peak times the atmosphere would be a bit better but we much preferred having the run of the place and no queues! The staff were so friendly and clearly made an effort to help at any point! Plus – toilets stayed clean all day! So happy about this! 🙂 Definitely recommend and four thumbs up from us!

This was a great day out, even for our teenagers. They really enjoyed themselves with archery, painting, roller coasting, dodgems, and lots more! The food was good too. We have to come back one day because we missed the show with the birds of prey 🙂

absolutely fantastic fun day out for all the family!! we visited on a drizzly day last week and was great as so much was under cover. our small children (3 & 18 months) loved the smaller soft play and the balloon area. Whilst us adults had fun with them in the bigger soft play area too! Nice food in the cafe, a little expensive tho. We will definitely be back whatever the weather there is so much to do!! and so much fun ☺
