Milky Way Adventure Park
If you’re looking for family attractions and things to do in North Devon, The Milky Way is the biggest all-weather day out, with over 110,000 sq feet of indoor fun & acres of outdoor activities. There are no hidden extras – all play areas, rides and shows are in the entrance fee – and it’s fun for family groups of all ages, including preschoolers.
Over the winter The Milky Way main park is open most weekends and on weekdays during Devon school holidays – though Little Stars, its on-site play centre offering imaginative and adventure play for 0-6s, is open Monday-Sunday all year round (see full details of opening days and times).
This Christmas don’t miss out on A MAGICAL FUN-FILLED festive day out. Meet the REAL Father Christmas, decorate gingerbread, make Reindeer food and more. On 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd of December you can meet Father Christmas and his elves in his magical grotto – and new for 2018 is Buzzlewick’s Elf Emporium! Buzzlewick the elf and friends will be helping Father Christmas sort and load the children’s letters ready for him to take back to the North Pole, and helping children decorate yummy gingerbread straight from Mother Christmas’ kitchen and to make environmentally friendly reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve! All this extra Christmas fun is included in the usual entry fee or annual pass, but as it’s so popular you need to book your place online to guarantee a visit to Santa.
In 2018 The Milky Way introduced its new Gravity Rider – a fast, fun and exhilarating two lane donut slide. Other recent additions include the Sci-Fi memorabilia display (“From Daleks to Darth Vader!”) and the Bouncing Balloon Room. Ride the Cosmic Typhoon and see glorious views from the top, then face the hair-raising drop! Have a close encounter with aliens in the interactive Clone Zone dark ride, then take on the huge death slides in the Time Warp. The Milky Way is also home to the Jumping Jupiters, one of the UK’s largest bouncing pillows, and the very popular Droid Destroyer dodgems. Visitors large and small love the Time Warp too – North Devon’s biggest indoor play area.
There’s plenty of fun designed specifically with smaller adventurers (and their grownups!) in mind, too. The innovative Little Stars play centre offers adventure and imaginative play for babies to pre-schoolers, while parents can relax and enjoy a snack or meal.
