View EventFollowing the University of Exeter archaeology department dig on the Killerton estate. We will hold an exhibition in the Engine house to display their exciting finds.
The university team were digging to locate more of the manor house at Columbjohn, purchased by Sir John Acland in 1580. The manor house was a significant location during the first English civil war, 1642-1646.
This exhibition in the Engine House will be displaying the finds of the dig on 26 & 27 July. Open 10am-3pm.
Children accompanied by adults are welcome.
The Engine house is situation in the main car park, before the steps that lead to reception.
This exhibition will display the findings of the dig. There is no charge to enter the exhibition (normal admission fees apply to access the Killerton estate). Members visit for free.
