This summer we'll be celebrating light and colour whatever the weather with our FREE family activities!
We’ll be having fun each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the school holidays with FREE activities, including children’s yoga and mindfulness sessions, science activities, making and using paints from natural materials and colourful printing with gelli plates. The activities are inspired by our ‘Reframing Reynolds’ and ‘Dappled Light’ exhibitions and the schedule is here:
Activity sessions are 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm
25-27 Jul: Gelli plate printmaking inspired by Sir Joshua Reynolds.
1-3 Aug: Fun hands-on science experiments exploring light and colour.
8-10 Aug: Use and experiment with paints from fruit and vegetables to make creations inspired by Rana Begum’s work.
15-17 Aug: Gelli plate printmaking inspired by Rana Begum‘s work.
22-24 Aug: Create colourful windows of layered landscapes.
29-31 Aug: Make wax relief portraits that are transformed by natural light.
Yoga and mindfulness for children
Runs on Thursday 27 July, Tuesday 1 August, Wednesday 9 August, Thursday 17 August, Tuesday 22 August and Wednesday 30 August. Sign up on the day for a free half-hour session in St Luke’s at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
