October Family Fun Weekend
Experience a fun-filled weekend of heritage steam trains, wildlife encounters, and family adventures along the scenic River Dart. Step aboard frequent steam-hauled heritage train services and enjoy a nostalgic journey through the beautiful countryside.
As part of the Family Fun Weekend at South Devon Railway, visitors can enjoy free entry to Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies, where tropical butterflies flutter around lush greenery and playful otters can be seen in their specially designed enclosures. Free entry is also included to Totnes Rare Breeds Farm.
For an extra touch of excitement, take a ride on the Miniature Railway, a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. Please note that rides may be suspended in adverse weather conditions.
