Enjoy our family craft in a quieter environment
More information

An early calm session in a quieter environment.

This early calm session is specifically for children who would benefit from a quieter environment in our Learning Room. It’s been requested by families due to how busy the family craft activities usually are!

10-10.30am

This early session is specifically for children who would benefit from a quieter environment in The Box’s Learning Room. We will open the doors early to a maximum of 18 people and will provide a relaxed environment to take part in our craft activity before the door opens to the public at 10.30am.

In this session, we’ll be taking inspiration from Beryl Cook’s vibrant ‘Picnic at Mount Edgcumbe’. Come and make pasties from air dry clay and learn how to crimp them!

As spaces are limited, please book your space if you’d like to attend.

In case you can’t make this early session, the same free activity will take place in the Learning Room from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm on the same day. These drop in sessions are often noisy and busy, particularly in the mornings and straight after lunch, but later in the afternoons they are usually quieter.

Please note: All under 18s needs to be accompanied by an adult during family activities on site. Please ensure that you book a ticket for every person attending and not just for the child(ren).
