Celebrating 30 YEARS of Woodlands Family Theme Park!

Woodlands Family Theme Park will be Celebrating 30 years and have a special Birthday week of celebrations.

Join in a week of interactive shows at Woodlands 30^th Birthday Bash from Monday 29^th July to Sunday 4^th August. Families can witness silly stunt shows, magic, science workshops and plenty more at Devon’s largest Family Theme Park.

Chris Bendall, Director of the family run Park told us. “To celebrate the prestigious occasion, we are putting on a terrific show which will give our families a fantastic week to remember.”

A nonstop week of events will include our very own Woodlands Supastarz with special birthday shows, Titan the Robot, who needs no introduction and is a show not to be missed. Dan the Hat returns with his comedy juggling and stunt shows, the Fizz Pop Science team with interactive science workshops and shows, the Wizzbang Entertainers with lots of family magic and many more surprises along the way! Keep an eye out for our special birthday competitions happening throughout the week.

Pat and Graham Bendall diversified from farming in 1989 to open Woodlands as a leisure park with a country shop and café, small animal farm, an action track, pedal boats, rope swing complex and still a firm favourite the triple drop slides all designed and built by family members.  “Sixty-four thousand came and loved it.” Pat said. “The next year we created more attractions and opened the Caravan Park.  We designed the upmarket facilities especially for families using ideas which were new at that time, like terraces for ten units so no one was crowded and with space in the centre for little ones to play safely. We were thrilled to win the prestigious AA Campsite of the Year in our second year which is still unprecedented. Since then we have won nearly 100 national and international awards. We design all the theming ourselves and many of the rides which gives Woodlands its unique feel. One of our greatest achievements came in 2000 when we designed the largest indoor Venture centre in the UK with three rides. High quality good indoor attractions are essential.”
