Great place to visit

November 2025 •

So much more at the museum than I expected. The various marble runs are mesmerising, and the wall-sized one is an engineering feat.

The shop is huge and full of all sorts of interesting gifts, especially now with lots of Christmas stock inside.

Then there is the glass blowing workshop out the back, spent ages watching the blowers shape the molten glass.

Lovely free trip

October 2025 •

Had a lovely hour or so looking around at all the marbles, glassblowing, pottery, and other activities outside.

My daughter enjoyed the marble runs and the brass rubbing trail, which cost £2, and entry is free! Lots of parking.

Had a huge shop with lots of goodies, and everyone was super friendly.

Lovely, quirky museum. Great gift shop

August 2025 •

Beautiful building and a lovely little museum on the history of marbles. Seeing glass blowing is fascinating. Also, there is a glass fusion (with some lovely work to buy) and the opportunity to actually book studio time.

The cafe has a variety of different areas to sit, and the food was lovely. The gift shop is amazing too.

Glass Trio workshop

July 2025 •

The glass trio workshop was really good. When I was booking, I thought £130 was quite expensive, but I really wanted to be able to have the experience. I was met on time and given a safety talk, it was so friendly, and a lovely lad on work experience from Torquay school assisted the lovely instructor.

I made three things: a blue tit, a small vase and a bauble. Choosing the colours was totally guided along the way in every step. Well worth the money for such an amazing experience.

I would defiently reccomened this experience if you can. I would love to do it again when you create 3 pieces of lovely glasswork for your home or as gifts to others. It makes the experience good value for money. Thank you for making this one of the best things I’ve done.

Great place to eat and some fantastic glass to look at too.

Brilliant breakfast. Good service. Great place to visit. Will be going regularly from now on for breakfast and perhaps the odd afternoon tea.

We go to many places around Devon for breakfast and this is in among the best we have experienced. The orange juice and free coffee refills make it for me. Brilliant idea.
