Frequently Asked Questions

What are the opening times for The Milky Way Adventure Park?

Please check the website when booking tickets but usual opening 10.30am to 4.30pm during term time and 10am to 5pm during school holidays.

How much does entry to The Milky Way Adventure Park?

Admission prices vary depending on the time of year. Please check the Milkyway website for latest details.

Is The Milky Way Adventure Park dog‑friendly?

Whilst we don’t actively encourage dogs to come to the park, we do welcome calm, friendly, older dogs with responsible owners – but the park isn’t suitable for excitable puppies or dogs that may find busy, noisy environments stressful.

You must book a ticket for your dog, which covers a small charge for cleaning costs. They must be kept on a short lead by an adult 18 years+ and never be left alone in vehicles. You’ll need public liability insurance and must agree to our dog policy on arrival.

Our dog policy:

We’re happy to admit very calm, friendly and well-behaved older dogs with responsible owners – the park is not suitable for excitable puppies. Please note that you must have public liability insurance that covers your dog/dogs (normally included in standard dog insurance policies – annual membership to the Dogs Trust for £25 also provides this cover).

We want to continue to accept dogs and in order to do this we need to minimise ill feeling and complaints from other guests, we therefore ask you to think very carefully before bringing large or potentially intimidating dogs to the park. To help us continue allowing dogs into the park, please only bring them if you have no alternative (i.e., if you can’t leave them at home or with someone). Dogs must not be left in any vehicle parked at the park.

We charge a small fee per dog to cover admin and cleaning, and to limit numbers. During peak times, please book online in advance to ensure space for your dog. Dogs are not permitted on rides (except the train).

The management reserve the right to approach your dog / dogs to assess their temperament and any dog showing signs that they could cause potential upset or harm to other guests (especially younger children) will not be admitted or will be asked to leave. This includes excited behaviour, such as excessive barking and jumping up. Dogs that may upset or harm others (e.g., by barking, jumping) will not be admitted or may be asked to leave.

All dog owners will be required to sign a form on entry agreeing to the following:

– I am responsible for my dog at all times while on your premises, and I have public liability insurance.
– I’m confident my dog will remain calm in indoor areas with noise, children, and other dogs.
– My dog will be held on a short lead by an adult (18 years+) at all times. Retractable leads must be locked short.
– I won’t take my dog to the bird of prey shows, bird centre, carpeted play areas, or Little Stars.
– I will clean up after my dog (poo, wee or vomit – including indoors), asking staff for help if disinfection is needed.

Any breaches of this policy will result in being asked to leave the site.

First time we have been here. Staff very friendly and lots to do for all ages. We had numerous goes on different rides with no queuing. Birds of prey centre very good. We spent 7 hours here and the children didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic location. The whole family had a ball. The staff were all brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

The milky way far exceeded our expectations! We had very interchangeable weather during our Devon holiday so finding this place was just what we needed. The variety of activities absolutely suited our 18 month old and 3.5 Yr old from the little stars soft play area to the roller coaster, train ride, maze, giant slides, toddler world, dodgems, Merlin the magician (hilarious) … It goes on… Being honest, it doesn’t look like much when you first walk in and it was very quiet as we went out of season but that worked very much in our favour! Also before we knew it was closing time and we had to drag the kids out, literally, through the laden gift shop… We received our voucher to return half price within the year and two days later we were back again! We thought we would pass the time in the morning and head to the beach in the afternoon – nope! Once again a full day at the milky-way and we did loads of stuff we hadn’t tried the time before like archery, took in the outside birds of prey show (Dave the falconer is amazing and provides a very informative and entertaining show!) and the bouncy trampolines… Hilarious for the whole family! I feel in peak times the atmosphere would be a bit better but we much preferred having the run of the place and no queues! The staff were so friendly and clearly made an effort to help at any point! Plus – toilets stayed clean all day! So happy about this! 🙂 Definitely recommend and four thumbs up from us!

This was a great day out, even for our teenagers. They really enjoyed themselves with archery, painting, roller coasting, dodgems, and lots more! The food was good too. We have to come back one day because we missed the show with the birds of prey 🙂

Nicole v

absolutely fantastic fun day out for all the family!! we visited on a drizzly day last week and was great as so much was under cover. our small children (3 & 18 months) loved the smaller soft play and the balloon area. Whilst us adults had fun with them in the bigger soft play area too! Nice food in the cafe, a little expensive tho. We will definitely be back whatever the weather there is so much to do!! and so much fun ☺
