Dave will take you on a journey to better understand the Eurasian otter, which has been in the UK for millions of years and is now a protected species by law. The talk will cover otter ecology, behaviour, local otters, threats and rehabilitation.
Dave Webb founded UK Wild Otter Trust in 1998 and it became a UK registered charity in 2016. Their core activity is rescuing orphaned and injured Eurasian otters and rehabilitating and releasing them back into the wild. Dave has been a wildlife enthusiast for close to 50 years and runs all aspects of the Otter Rehabilitation Centre in north Devon, which is the biggest in the world. He is a conservationist and advises all over the world on otters and otter cub rehabilitation.
