Widely held as one of the greatest choral works in the Western canon, J. S. Bach’s powerful Mass in B minor began as a much smaller composition for the sovereign Augustus III in 1736 and was completed in its full form in 1748. This Mass is one of majesty and grace, perfect for the beauty and splendour of Buckfast Abbey.
