David will compare the ancient with the modern as we celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS. He will bring along some items from the Devon and Exeter Medico-Chirurgical Society, which was formed in 1780 and is the second oldest in the country. Some wonderful medical books from the Library and Archives collection will also be on display for you to see.
