Summer holiday music activities for ages 9-13 years
Whether you are visiting or live in the area, come and fill the days of the summer holidays with musical activities, combined with other summer fun at Torre Abbey.
Take part in musical workshops, write songs, try new instruments and perform. You’ll also get to join in with holiday activities such as ‘Pitch and Putt’ or a trip to the beach.
You can join us for the whole week, or just a day or two.
Music Mania Timetable
8am-9am: Arrival + breakfast (included)
9am-9.30am: Team building activities / ice breakers / games
9.30am-11am: Workshop
- Monday – Bamboo Tamboo
- Tuesday – Steel Pans
- Wednesday – African Drumming
- Thursday – Samba
- Friday – Boomwhackers
11am-11.30am: Break (drinks and snacks provided)
11.30am-1.00pm: Off-site activity (examples; rock pooling, beach activities, crazy golf, dinosaur world. Weather dependent.)
1.00pm-2.00pm: Lunch (not provided)
2.00pm-3.30pm: Workshop
- Monday – Band workshop (ukulele and percussion)
- Tuesday – Music Composition (Peter and the Wolf)
- Wednesday – Songwriting (Music and lyrics)
- Thursday – Digital Music (Found sounds)
- Friday – Performance Techniques (Guitar Amps, Microphones and Drum machines)
3.30pm-3.45pm: Break (drinks and snacks provided)
3.45pm-5.30pm: Continuation of workshop + self led activities, arts and crafts
5.30pm-6.00pm: DJing / jamming / song share
