Pig Week at Pennywell Farm at Devons Top Attraction

What better way to celebrate our world famous Pennywell Miniature Pigs than to devote a whole week to them? Saturday 14  to Sunday 22 September is Pennywell Pig Week and we have plenty of piggy action and activities for all you pig lovers out there.

You can be put through your paces with Pennywell pigs on the pig agility course, back your favourite at the 2.30pm daily pig race, join a pig treasure hunt and find out some fascinating piggy facts on our trail around the farm.

Did you know there are more than 2 billion pigs worldwide? Or that on the uninhabited Bahaman Island of Big Major Cay, there is a population of wild aquatic pigs that swim out to boats in the hope of being rewarded with a tasty snack? Thought not – and there’s plenty more where that came from. It would seem that our pig friends are far from boaring – pardon the pun!

Every day you can meet our ‘Star pig of the day’ in their special pig pen and you can discover just what it is that makes our little pigs so special.

To add some real sparkle to the week, we are planning a very special evening on Sat 14 September for our grown up Pennywell Farmers, Piggies and Prosecco.
