Haldon Forest Park

The Devon Association of Tourist Attractions (DATA) is pleased to announce it has a NEW member joining the Association for 2022. Haldon Forest Park has been awarded the acclaimed and respected DATA tourism quality stamp and now features alongside 36 other top attraction members in Devon.

Anne Blackham Marketing Manager said: “Since the pandemic took hold in March 2020, Devon’s Top Attractions have faced the toughest and most challenging of times in living memory with tourism and hospitality having been one of the hardest-hit business sectors.

“As a result, two DATA members sadly became Covid casualties and had to close their doors for good, so this is great news to see that our association continues to gain strength and – even through difficult times – we are still able to attract and recruit high-quality Devon attractions.

“We are delighted to welcome Haldon Forest Park as a member of Devon’s Top Attractions association, and we look forward to working with them.”

Haldon Forest Park manager, Katy Harrison, said: “As Haldon Forest Park continues to welcome 400,000 visitors each year, we’re delighted to be recognised among Devon’s top attractions. We pride ourselves on creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the great outdoors, whether that’s for an adrenaline-fuelled mountain bike ride, or a peaceful picnic among the trees. There is so much to come for Haldon Forest Park, starting with our new ‘Superworm’ activity trail which launched this month, and we can’t wait to evolve further through this new partnership.”

Devon’s Top Attractions is now into its 37th year of operation and it continues its mission to better promote Devon, raise the quality standards at all member visitor attractions, and provide top-quality days out for visitors as well as being a strong voice within the tourism industry.

To qualify as a member, all attractions must go through a rigorous inspection process and pass DATA’s strict quality criteria.  These inspections ensure that visitors enjoy a top-quality experience in terms of the overall venue; the facilities, content, and services on offer, plus providing value for money.

The Association continue to represent Devon and its members at UK travel trade and at national exhibition shows and, it to that end, will be exhibiting and representing Devon at the upcoming, prestigious Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in February.
