Guess who's at The Donkey Sanctuary this summer

Summer is officially here, and so is The Donkey Sanctuary’s brand-new summer quiz trail; the ‘Guess Who Adoption Donkey Trail’.

Combining exercise and brainpower, the trail gives people the chance to explore the Sidmouth sanctuary, while meeting resident donkeys along the way, to find the nine Adoption Donkeys hiding behind stable doors on the trail boards. Each trail sheet costs £5 and includes a prize on completion.

Guess Who Adoption Summer Trail is only £5 a trail sheet including a prize when completed!

The sanctuary is free to visit and is set in the heart of the East Devon countryside. There are daily talks, scenic walks, engaging exhibits, award-winning gardens and, of course, hundreds of adorable donkeys to meet.

The new play area, set among a safe landscaped area in the centre of the sanctuary, brings children of all ages, social groups and abilities together to use their imaginations, explore and have fun, while the maze remains a popular place to lose yourself for a while.

The award-winning on-site restaurant The Kitchen serves up freshly prepared, locally sourced seasonal produce, with unparalleled views of the countryside and sparkling sea beyond, while the Gift Shop is the ideal place to pick up a souvenir, safe in the knowledge that every purchase supports the work of the charity.

The Donkey Sanctuary is dog-friendly, and dogs on leads are welcome. There are miles of walkways to explore, and people may also bring them into The Kitchen restaurant.

The Donkey Sanctuary is open every day from 9am – 5pm.
