Over 25 family Easter activities and things to do in Devon – Events, Egg-hunts, Easter trails!

Spring is here and Devon’s Top Attractions are putting on some egg-citing activities to celebrate the Easter break. Hop along to one of our attractions where there’s Easter trails, workshops, hunts, baby animals to meet and cuddle and fabulously funny shows to entertain all ages. Look out for the Easter Bunny who may be making an appearance! Easter is an egg-stra special family time where we celebrate new beginnings and with the long weekend there is a great opportunity to enjoy a memorable Devon day out together.

What’s on in North Devon this Easter

At Clovelly from 3rd to 6th April – can you find the Easter chicks? Let children explore Clovelly in a fun new way by searching for the Easter Chicks hidden around the village, with a prize for those who find them all!

At the Milky Way Adventure Park  from 31st March to 10th April journey down the rabbit hole to Easter Bunny HQ to meet the friendly Eggs-perts who help the Easter Bunny deliver his Easter magic. Enter into the crazy Eggs-perts’ world where you’ll help solve puzzles, make music and have lots of fun checking out the clever egg production process. Children aged 1-11 yrs will also meet the Easter Bunny and receive a special Easter gift bag.

Visit RHS Garden Rosemoor to find the clues, solve the crime and rescue the Easter bunny – chocolate reward offered! The Easter Detectives trail invites visitors to step into a world of clues, suspects and seasonal fun. Enjoy the first blush of spring colour and admire the delicate blossoms in these beautiful gardens as you search for the signs which will help you solve the puzzle.

From Sat 28th March enjoy 6 Days of Pre- Easter Fun on the Farm at the Big Sheep. Feed the lambs, meet and greet the animals. There’s an Easter Trail & Easter photo opportunities and Lambing Live plus loads of fun activities for all ages! Plus their NEW EGGstravaganza Easter Stage Show with a special guest star! The Big Egg Hunt takes place on Easter weekend with Easter Themed Arts & Crafts every day and Eggtravaganza Easter Show with the Easter Bunny.

Come along to Quince Honey Farm this Easter and enjoy fun for all the family, including honey tasting, seed planting, indoor and outdoor play and more! The BEES ARE BACK! At this time of year the bees are active once again following their winter rest! Enjoy live Beekeeping Demos, hold a frame of bees, and view the display hives in complete safety. You may even see them buzzing around enjoying the beautiful Nectar Gardens.

Hop into a magical Easter Eggsplorers adventure at Watermouth Castle from 28th March to 12th April. Meet the Easter Bunny as he hops around the castle grounds. Find the giant Easter eggs that are hidden around the park, each marked with a special symbol. Can you find them all and crack the secret word? Solve the puzzle and claim your special prize at the end! Bubble fun – dash, jump and pop your way through floating clouds of bubbles, filling the air with laughter.

Get hands-on with Glass Easter Egg Painting and Easter-Themed Glass Painting sessions, where you can create your own colourful keepsakes. What’s on in Exeter & East Devon this Easter

At RAMM there are family workshops during the holidays including – design and build a functioning LEGO® brick machine under the guidance of Brick Ideas on 8th April and design and build a LEGO® brick vehicle of the future on 9th April. On 14th April join the carousel of space-themed craft activities, on 15th April the Explorer Dome is back. Step into the enormous dome of lights and sounds as we shrink down to explore what makes us tick. On 16th April uncover the mysteries of your gut in this fun & interactive demonstration from the experts at Devon Science.

RAMM Easter 26

Get ready for a K-POP Party at Crealy Theme Park this Easter. Experience the colour, energy and non-stop excitement of K-Pop as the Crealy Arena transforms into a spectacular live venue from 3rd to 12th April. This brand-new K-Pop tribute concert brings the biggest hits, iconic choreography and dazzling stage production together for fans of all ages. Plus The Sooty Show takes to the stage live every single day throughout the Easter holidays.

Powderham Castle opens its doors for the 2026 season on 3rd April. Step back into Regency England and uncover the subtle art of the invitation and the social scene with their RSVP Exhibition within the Castle (on until 23rd May). Join a Guided Tour or free-roam and uncover secrets from centuries before. Families can explore the estate in search of key pollinators in a brand-new AR Pollination Trail and capture immersive images that blend the digital and real-life.

On 10th April it’s all about the Story Tram at Seaton Tramway. Take a tram ride from Seaton to Colyton with your little ones and inspire big imaginations with themed stories and action songs along the way. There is an exciting new theme every month, with a themed storybook and music on the tram, followed by another story and activities at Colyton Station just right for pre-school children.

At the National Trust’s Killerton make your way along the trail and find activities for the whole family this Easter from 27th March-19th April. Come along and explore the beautiful garden and chapel grounds. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From chocolate egg.

Come and join Betsy Bunny to explore the Easter Trail from 3rd-6th April at Devon Railway Centre. Children aged 3 and over can complete the trail and win an Easter treat. FREE Easter treat for Under 3s too. All the usual facilities and fun will be available too. They look forward to seeing you!

Book a cruise this Easter with Stuart Line Cruises and enjoy a trip on the calm and sheltered waters of the beautiful River Exe. These circular cruises are the best way to see the stunning scenery, wildlife and nature of the nationally renowned Exe Estuary. Departing from Exmouth Marina, they travel the peaceful waters of the river, up near Powderham Castle and back.

The Wonderous Wildlife Trail has arrived at The Donkey Sanctuary. Spread across the sanctuary are six nature rubbings, get a map and a trail pack before you head out into the heart of the sanctuary. Collect all six rubbings and learn about how they benefit the land and the donkeys on the way.This entertaining Easter activity combines family fun, exercise and brainpower and is just £5 per trail, including an Easter egg on completion.

What’s on in Torbay & South Devon this Easter

Hop, skip and jump your way to Babbacombe Model Village this Easter. From 28th March – 19th April follow the Easter Egg Trail and see if you can spot all the brightly coloured miniature eggs hidden throughout the beautiful gardens. Crack the trail and every young explorer will be rewarded with a small gift. Plus, illuminations: April 3rd, 8th, 10th & 16th.

This Easter, embark on an epic egg-venture at Paignton Zoo, where three cracking challenges await explorers of all ages! Kick off your journey with the Wild Egg Quest and find six mysterious eggs hidden across the zoo; then channel your inner detective to spot the imposters in Shell-Shocker: Find the Fakes. And if you’re lucky enough to track down the elusive Golden Yolk, you’ll be entered into their prize draw to win an exclusive animal experience worth up to £90!

At Buckfast Abbey you can join the Easter Trail around the Abbey Grounds from 4th to 19th April. The trail can be collected from the Gift Shop. Free to use and fun for the whole family. Once completed you can collect an Easter sticker from the Gift Shop.

All aboard for an Easter adventure at South Devon Railway’s Easter Gala on 4th and 5th April. Experience the nostalgic charm of heritage railway travel in the beautiful Devon countryside. A variety of steam and diesel locomotives will be pulling the trains. There will also be classic cars on display at Buckfastleigh, plus visits to the original signal box where you can have a go at pulling signal levers, view the workshops, and much more!

Hop into fun at Pennywell Farm’s Easter Eggstravaganza! Join exciting Easter egg hunts, meet adorable baby animals, follow the farm trail and enjoy themed activities and seasonal treats for all ages. With plenty of family-friendly fun included, it’s the perfect Easter day out.

Celebrate Easter at Woodlands Family Theme Park from 27th March to 6th April with the park fully open for the season. Don’t miss the fascinating bird displays and catch special appearances from Titan on 7th April and a well-loved TV character on 12th April. Take part in the Woodlands Spring Hunt, solve riddles to complete the master egg, get creative with Easter Crafts and get a ticket to the Easter Bunny Grotto. Tickets only £20 per person if you book before 27th.

Join Witch and her friends on an enchanting adventure at Haldon Forest Park. This interactive family trail is packed with Room on the Broom themed activities, fascinating forest facts and plenty of hands-on fun. As you explore, help Witch find her lost hat, bow and wand, and collect the special ingredients she needs to complete her spell – but watch out for Dragon along the way! Pick up a Room on the Broom trail pack for £4 from the Info Pod.

Join House of Marbles and create your own beautiful glass Easter egg in this fun, hands-on workshop from 3-6th April. Guided one-to-one by our expert glassmakers, you’ll work with molten glass to shape and decorate a vibrant, seasonal keepsake. Plus, help Farmer Bill round up his chicks on the Easter trail, solve the clues, and spot every mischievous chick along the way. Head to the final stop and collect a well-earned Easter prize!

Join The Box in Plymouth from 7-17th April for fantastic Easter craft drop in sessions Tuesdays to Fridays. Be inspired by their immersive ‘Journeys with Mai’ exhibition. Week 1 – create portraits of the most important people in our lives and make cloth bookmarks covered in patterns that connect to your favourite stories. Week 2 – celebrate our amazing local coastline by making a ‘meadow of wildflowers’ from craft materials as well as creating Polynesian flowers.

Visit the National Marine Aquarium this Easter and enjoy one of Devon’s best days out. The Aquarium is made up of 4 main zones, with lots of different exhibits and animals found in each. The way the Aquarium is laid out means you start your journey in the local waters of Plymouth Sound. Dive deeper and immerse yourself into this wonderful blue Ocean world.
