We spent a whole day at Pecorama, it was very enjoyable, we loved the train rides and spotting all the different miniature engines as they went under the bridges, it’s in a beautiful setting above Beer with stunning views, the gardens are beautiful and it’s really lovely walking around the whole park. There is an outdoor children’s play area which is great and the soft play is fantastic, our little chap didn’t want to leave, played crazy golf on the best crazy golf course I’ve ever played on! A return visit is planned-there’s still a couple of trains we haven’t been on!

Pecorama 2020/21 - remains closed
We are currently closed due to National Lockdown
…………………………….
We regret to inform you that we have taken the very difficult decision to announce that Pecorama will remain closed to the general public for the whole 2020 season except for pre-booked Driver Experience Courses and Personal Pecorama Experiences (See our website for details).
We have very carefully considered our options and investigated the safety implications, made estimates on potential income and considered these alongside the complications added by using parts of the site for manufacturing and sadly come to the conclusion that it is not sensible to try and open this year.
We will continue to maintain the Beer Heights Light Railway and the wonderful gardens and keep our social media accounts updated. We also hope to create some videos of the gardens and railway for your interest and inspiration. The Model Shop will remain open, although currently only for mail-order, collections or by appointment.
We are now turning our attention to shaping the future of Pecorama for 2021 and beyond and we hope to be able to share some exciting plans with you later in the year.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their kindness, support and understanding during this difficult time and we hope that you all stay safe and well.
Pecorama at Beer, one of East Devon’s leading visitor attractions, is the home to the famous PECO Model Railway Exhibition and the Beer Heights Light Railway.
The Exhibition hall displays wonderfully detailed railway layouts, in many different gauges.
Outdoors, a fleet of miniature steam locomotives pull passenger trains on a mile-long route through the grounds, over bridges, through steep-sided cuttings and a long, dark tunnel!
Pecorama also features the Millennium Celebration Garden, a series of five celestially themed garden ‘rooms’. The individual garden names of Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Roof and Moat Garden reflect the nature and colour of the flowers, shrubs and trees found in each.
Children can choose from a variety of Activity Play Areas whilst an extensive programme of entertainment runs each summer, with shows from mid July until early September. Whatever the weather, clowns , jesters and magicians provide entertainment under cover of the PECO Marquee.
