Our attractions are ready to give a chilling welcome to their visitors! There are some super scary activities including ghostly tours and train rides, Halloween trails, pumpkin carving, fancy dress competitions, creepy shows and more.
From Pumpkin Patches to Haunted Trails: Halloween Fun Returns to Devon. For those who don’t like it too scary there are also some great ways to celebrate the beauty of autumn with autumnal crafts and workshops, woodland trails, pumpkin hunting and carving. Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of Devon’s Top Attractions, so don’t miss out, it’s bound to be a scream!

Experience the brand-new Behind the Screams: Halloween Unleashed Trail at Babbacombe Model Village from 26-31 October. A chilling adventure with spooky scenes and eerie surprises as the village transforms with ghouls, ghosts and spooky scenes causing havoc among their miniature residents. It will bring Halloween magic to life like never before. Children can enjoy the Miniature Pumpkin Hunt, plus there will be spooky illuminations every day (lights on from 5-7pm).

This half term follow the Trick or Treat activity trail through Kents Cavern, complete the Halloween challenges and discover whether a trick or a treat is waiting around the next corner. It’s a fun-filled adventure for children and grown-ups, all set inside Britain’s Oldest Home. Explore the incredible prehistoric caves, enjoy a unique family adventure and collect a treat at the end! From 17 October to 1 November.
Explore Paignton Zoo this half term holiday. Discover extraordinary wildlife, beautiful botanical gardens and immersive habitats across 80 acres. From towering giraffes and powerful rhinos to tropical forests, rare island species and peaceful gardens, there is always more to explore. Canonteign Falls Halloween Half Term Fun 19 October to 8 November. Celebrate the brand new story from Julia Donaldson and meet The Gruffalo at Haldon Forest Park on 27 October! Welcome to Storytime with their Gruffalo Granny event. Gruffalo Granny storytelling sessions and Gruffalo meet-and-greets will be taking place at various times throughout the day and there will be lots of other fun, family activities on offer at Haldon. Join Willow the Witch on the FREE Halloween Trail at Becky Falls this October half-term for a Halloween adventure with prizes! Willow the Witch needs your help! She’s searching for 11 magical ingredients to brew her Winter Elixir. Follow the clues as you explore the Red Trail and see if you can find them all.Complete the trail and you’ll receive a small prize.

River Dart Country Park are offering their Day Admission at the reduced rate of 50% off from 24 Oct to 1 November. Crafting Your Way To A Pumpkin That’s More Treat Than Trick at House of Marbles from 17-25 October. This Halloween season, try a one-of-a-kind experience: crafting your own glass pumpkin! You’ll transform molten glass into a gorgeous, glowing pumpkin – perfect for adding a touch of autumn magic to your home. Ages 12+ are welcome (if accompanied by an adult), and no experience is necessary – so book now.

Pennywell Pumpkin Festival – Join in with all your favourite Pennywell activities PLUS the Pumpkin Festival, all included in your ticket price. Bigger, brighter and bursting with autumn magic. Pennywell Pumpkin festival
27 to 29 October – Come to The Box this half term and let your imagination lead the way! Decorate large strips of fabric with drawings of buildings around the city, then imagine how they could be improved. On 30 October there’s a special family late filled with tricks and treats. Explore the galleries after hours to find pickled sea creatures, make your own spooky sea slime, get creative with mask making, scary storytelling and more. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Visit the National Marine Aquarium this half term and help Skelly the pirate skeleton find his fishy friends in the 4 zones in the Aquarium. Ocean Discovery Rangers will be delivering an engaging spooky show in front the Eddystone Habitat – spot a special visitor inside the habitat. DON’T MISS the photo opportunity in the cave next to the Great Barrier Reef where Skelly and friends will be celebrating and pick up your winning scroll!

Spooky goings-on in Exeter & East Devon
At RAMM join in their half term workshops: Mushroom Magic – Build a Woodland Dwelling – on 27 & 29 October. At this nature craft workshop children can create their very own fungi-inspired miniature dwelling using natural treasures. Watch the Mushroom Show on 28 October. Award winning Scratchworks Theatre Company brings together science, music and interactive fun for the whole family. Suitable for ages 5+
Halloween Spook-Fest is back at Crealy Theme Park on selected dates from 10 October. Alongside over 60 rides and attractions, get ready for frights, thrills, and family fun this October! From the return of the Creaky Hotel, live scare mazes and spook-tacular shows to brand-new attractions for 2026, this is Halloween at Crealy like you’ve never seen it before.

From 1 Oct to 2 Nov pumpkins are popping up through The Donkey Sanctuary, whispering that Halloween is on its way. Follow the trail to discover each hidden pumpkin. At each stop, you’ll find an item related to the donkeys. Make your guess, then lift the flap to reveal the answer! Place the matching Trick or Treat sticker in the correct space on your trail sheet. Once completed bring it to the Gift Shop to redeem your prize!

Step on board for a relaxing, award-winning cruise through the calm waters of the River Exe with Stuart Line Cruises on 25 October. The estuary is home to a magnificent variety of wildlife and stunning Devon scenery. With modern, all-weather vessels and friendly crew it’s the perfect setting to see the South West from a brand-new perspective. Step into a world of enchantment and fun as you embark on a mystic tram ride at Seaton Tramway. It’s a journey filled with pumpkins, ghouls, and delightful surprises. There’ll be storytelling, a blend of spooky fun and funny moments, meet and greet and activities with the not-so-wicked witch Grizelda at Colyton plus a goody bag. See website for booking.

From 1 October to 13 November – calling all Pokémon fans! Join Killerton National Trust to celebrate the Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration with The Pikachu Art Adventure. Discover 30 Pikachu cards, each brought to life by a different illustrator, find out fun facts about the iconic character, and design your own Pikachu trading card. No need to book. Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome on the outdoor trail.

The Devon Railway Centre are putting on their Halloween Special for selected dates in half term. Explore the Pumpkin trail and discover the Halloween treasure. FREE Halloween gift for all children aged 3 years and over.

School for Witches & Wizards: Your little horrors can learn spellcasting and potion-making, Halloween Storytelling: Settle in for a special seasonal storytelling session, Spooky Swamp Dodgems, Merlin’s Spooktacular Show and Fancy Dress Competition. Discover 1000s of pumpkins throughout the Watermouth Castle grounds with spectacular seasonal displays. Visit the Courtyard Pumpkin Market, packed with pumpkins, squashes and gourds. Gather around the marshmallow roasting pits for an autumn treat, plus on selected dates enjoy the family-friendly Trick or Treat Trail and stay later to experience the Castle as daylight fades, with twinkling lights and an extra touch of autumn magic. Join The Big Sheep for a Spook-tacular Monster Glow Party this October half term! Step into a glowing Halloween wonderland filled with neon lights, spooky decorations and magical surprises! An unforgettable experience for little monsters, witches, superheroes and ghouls alike. This October half term, discover the magical powers and spooky secrets hidden in plants at RHS Rosemoor. Explore their interactive garden trail featuring scary-looking species and plants with legendary healing powers. Enjoy a fun-filled session of spooky Halloween crafts and experience the famous Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf brought to life by Rattlebox Theatre on 27 October. Enjoy engaging storytelling combined with clever puppetry, sets and props.
