Plymouth Aquarium – One of the UK’s largest aquariums with over 5,000 Ocean animals and awe-inspiring habitats. Why not explore the National Marine Aquarium for an experience you’ll never forget? Sharks, rays, turtles — and plenty of hands-on learning plus a range of exciting and immersive ocean-themed events during the year.

Clovelly Village – explore the historic fishing village and walk down to the working harbour and meet the donkeys. Stroll around the Clovelly Court Gardens or explore the glorious coastal walks. The village has a traffic-free, cobbled street with flower-strewn cottages which lead down to the ancient fishing harbour and 14th-century quay. There are stunning views to be enjoyed along the way.

RHS Rosemoor – unwind in beautiful gardens and woodlands within easy reach of the North Devon coast. RHS Garden Rosemoor is a public display garden run by the Royal Horticultural Society about 1 mile south of Great Torrington. Rosemoor blends formal and informal plantings to magical effect plus enjoy many special family and seasonal events throughout the year.

The Big Sheep – This multi–Award-Winning Family has thrilling rides including the Rampage Roller Coaster, also visit the newborn lambs and cuddle the animals in Pets’ Corner. Bounce on the giant jumping pillows, ride the Twister, hop on a Swan Pedalo, ride the train around the lake or watch the world-famous sheep racing.

The Milky Way – visit Devon’s Large Attraction of the Year 2024. There’s lots of all-weather fun on offer with a mix of indoor and outdoor rides, shows, activities and play areas or marvel at a breathtaking bird of prey display. There is something for all ages.

Lundy Island is a granite outcrop which lies 18km off the coast of North Devon and at three miles long and half a mile wide it is a place apart, peaceful and unspoiled. Most day visitors travel on Lundy’s own ferry MS Oldenburg and the ships sails from either Bideford or Ilfracombe. The crossing takes about 2 hours each way, allowing 4-6 hours to explore the island.

At South Devon Railway a trip recreates the golden days of travel between the 1930s and 1960s as it takes you on a trip back in time on a traditional Great Western Railway branch line running from Buckfastleigh and Totnes Riverside. It runs for seven miles along the beautiful valley of the River Dart with the backdrop of the glorious Devon hills.

Pennywell Farm – A visit to the multi award-winning Pennywell Farm is something you’ll never forget! Enjoy a fun-filled experience packed full of animals, hands-on activities, rides, play-time, shows, and displays and a different activity happening every 30 minutes. Pennywell is home to over 150 animals and has something for everyone, from pig racing to tractor rides!
